Nick Donahue enters his fifth season as an assistant coach on head coach Glen Drexler's staff in 2023-24. His main duties include overseeing high jump, hurdles, and heptathlon/decathlon efforts.
In addition to his coaching duties, Donahue has worked for Campus Recreation since 2018. He is currently the Assistant Director.Â
A native of Palm Desert, Calif., Donahue attended UWS and competed in track and field, battling numerous injuries in his four-year career. As a junior, Donahue set the Yellowjacket heptathlon record of 3,801 points in 2014, a record that was held for nine years.
In 2016-17, Donahue was a volunteer coach at Emporia State University. Next season, he was an assistant coach at Burlingame School District in Burlingame, Kan., before returning to the Twin Ports.
Donahue graduated from UW-Superior with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2015. He would continue his education and earn his Master's degree in Health/Physical Education and Recreation from Emporia State in 2018.Â
Donahue resides in Superior with his future wife Kat.Â
