Kristin Riesgraf is in her 14th season as an assistant volleyball coach at UW-Superior in 2023. In her role, Reisgraf assists with recruiting, scouting, player development, monitoring academic progress and summer camps. Riesgraf is also the head junior varsity coach, and has served the head coach of Club Superior's 18/17s.
A native of Hibbing, Minn., Riesgraf played volleyball for Hibbing High School, where she was a three-year starter for a successful program that won the Iron Range Conference three times and was regional champion and a Minnesota state tournament participant two times. Riesgraf also played club volleyball for Hibbing Juniors, where she was on teams that twice qualified for the Junior Olympic National Tournament.
Riesgraf went on to Hibbing Community College where she was named NJCAA All-American, NJCAA Academic All-American, NJCAA All-Region 13 Team, MCAC All-State Team, MCAC All-North Division Team. Reisgraf was the first female athlete in HCC history to be named an NJCAA All-American and still holds records at HCC for serving percentage in a season (98.99), kills in a season (484), and kills in a career (913 over two years). Following a successful career at HCC, Riesgraf transferred to Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee, Wis., to complete her volleyball career.
Riesgraf has a Master's Degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Minnesota Duluth, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Cardinal Stritch, and an Associate of Arts Degree from Hibbing.
In addition to coaching, Riesgraf is currently employed in Student Support Services at UW-Superior, where she works as a math lecturer and math lab supervisor.Â
