Zach Tiemeyer commences his first season as an assistant men's soccer coach under head coach Joe Mooney in 2026.
No stranger to UW-Superior, Tiemeyer returns to the Yellowjackets after a four-year career as a defender. He played in 69 matches and started 30 in his career, scoring seven goals with five assists for 19 total points.
Notably in 2024, Tiemeyer contributed to a backline that allowed just 19 goals against opponents, tying their lowest mark in program history dating back to 1998.
His best season came in 2024, seeing 1,348 minutes on the pitch and played a big role in allowing just 19 goals and 7.6 shots per game to the opposition. That year, the Yellowjackets had their most successful season, advancing to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the first time in program history.
A native of Waunakee, Wis., Tiemeyer graduated from UW-Superior in 2025 with a Bachelor's Degree in business administration. He now serves as a sales specialist for American Family Insurance.
