The 2018-19 season will mark the ninth year that Sam Maday has been an assistant under head coach Glen Drexler.
During his time as an assistant coach, Maday has sent four throwers to the NCAA Division III Championships. Maday has also coached one All-American and has seen several University records broken numerous times by the throwers he coached.
Maday, from the Bad River Indian Reservation, graduated from UW-Superior in 2010 with a Mass Communications degree. He furthered his education when he went to Minnesota Duluth to earn his masters in Tribal Administration and Governance.
Maday currently resides in Superior.
