A strong offence from the UW-Stout Blue Devils proves to be too much for the Yellowjackets.

The first set of the night was the closest as the Yellowjackets would fall 25-23. On 49 attempts the Yellowjackets had 15 kills with 10 attack errors for a .102 attacking percentage. This is compared to the Blue Devils 13 kills with only 5 errors on 45 attempts. The only Yellowjackets to have double digit kill was Kitty Tynen (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) at 11.

After losing a close match that Yellowjackets were able to turn around and win the second set. On only 39 attempts and nine kills that Yellowjackets secured a 25-18 win. On the night the Yellowjackets would tally up 42 kills on 39 assists, Keely Deadrick (Esko, Minn./Esko) would put up 38 of those assists.

The third set would be highlighted by UW-Stouts Kate Mikutowski as she would get her 1000th career kill, she would finish with 24 kills on the night. This would also be the Yellowjackets worst set of the night as they would only get five kills and have six errors on 42 attempts. Yellowjackets would fall 25-13.

Although the Yellowjackets would struggle at the net, in the backcourt the Yellowjackets would have 84 digs, Farrah Wirtz (Esko, Minn./Esko) would lead the way with 27 digs on the night. She would be followed by Tynen with 21 digs and Lauren Petersen with 12 digs. The final set would end 25-20 in favor of the Blue Devils.

The Yellowjackets (17-14, 0-6 WIAC), will have two more opportunities to get a conference win next week on Friday, October 26th at UW-Platteville and Saturday, October 26th at UW-La Crosse.
