The University of Wisconsin Superior was out-duelled by Concordia College of Minnesota as the Cobbers struck for two goals in each half to down the Yellowjackets 4-0 at the Yellowjacket Soccer Complex on a chilly Sunday afternoon in Superior.
Concordia Moorhead (4-8-3) had a pair of scores from two different players as Alexandra Jones netted her fourth of the year and Emily Wendorff her sixth in the second half. Jones got the scoring started at the 5:06 mark of the game with an assist by Paige McCullough, and Wendorff extended the lead to 2-0 at 38:23 with an assist by Emily Payne.
The Cobbers out-shot UW-Superior (1-12-0) by a margin of 34-3 on the afternoon, including 19-2 in on-target attempts. Junior goalkeeper
Bailey Henderson (Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul H.S.) matched her season high with 15 saves on the afternoon. Junior

Liza Shelquist (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island H.S.) each had a shot on-goal for the Yellowjackets. Cobbers goalkeeper Maddy Reed had two saves to preserve the shutout and added a second-half assist on Jones' second score of the day in the 50th minute.erio

UW-Superior will have payback on its mind as the team returns home one final time this Wednesday to play host to Northland College in non-conference action. The LumberJills edged the Yellowjackets 1-0 in conference play on the road earlier this season on Sept. 28. Opening kick is set for 3:15 p.m. following the men's contest.
