The University of Wisconsin Superior could not find its offense against intrastate rival the University of Wisconsin River Falls on Tuesday afternoon, falling 7-0 in the team's non-conference finale in River Falls, Wisconsin.
The Falcons got the scoring started just over three minutes into the match when Abby Sodherholm tallied her seventh of the year for UW-River Falls (7-8-2). The home team would tack on from there, with Kayla Windingstad adding her first of the season at the midpoint of the first half. Soderholm made it 3-0 before the end of the half, and Windingstad would tack on a second goal on the day in the second half as the Falcons remained well in control of the scoreboard.
UW-Superior (1-15) had its chances with three shots on the day, but the Yellowjackets did not have an answer to the Falcon offense, which had 30 shots on the day including 18 on goal. Junior goalkeeper
Bailey Henderson (Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul H.S.) had 11 saves for UWS, while four different players combined for the shutout in goal for UW-River Falls.
