The Cougars' Molly Hancuh scored a first-half hat trick, and the University of Minnesota Morris knocked off the University of Wisconsin Superior, as the Yellowjackets fell 3-0 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference on Saturday afternoon on the road in Morris, Minnesota.
UW-Superior (1-9-0, 1-4-0 UMAC) could not slow the attack of Hancuh, who scored in the 8th, 18th, and 36th minutes to push UM-Morris (3-7-1, 2-2-1 UMAC) over the top. Brook Lorentz tacked on a second-half goal for the Cougars, while Yu Ito had a pair of assists for UMM. Morris out-shot the Yellowjackets 17-9 in the match, including 11-3 on-net.
Sophomore
Liza Shelquist (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island H.S.) had three shots to lead the Yellowjackets, while sophomore Cheyenne Hirdier and junior
Britt Zieroth (Twig, Minn./Proctor H.S.) each had a pair. Junior goalkeeper
Bailey Henderson (Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul H.S.) made seven saves for UWS.

The Yellowjackets will be on the road Tuesday to takeon the College of St. Scholastica in a non-conference rematch of the teams' UMAC Bridge Battle earlier this season. Opening kick is set for 3:30 p.m. in Duluth.
