The University of Wisconsin Superior got 30 saves from senior backstop
Kim Kobar (The Pas, Man./Margaret Barbour Collegiate) but could not get the offense going as Gustavus Adolphus College edged the Yellowjackets 1-0 on Tuesday night in St. Peter, Minnesota.
UW-Superior (RV, 4-5-0) got four shots each from senior
Hailey Adair (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) and junior
Mikayla Goodin (Andover, Minn./Andover H.S.), but could not get a puck past the Gusties' Amanda DiNella, who made 22 saves of her own on the night. Rachel Skoglund scored the lone goal of the night for Gustavus (3-3-1), getting an assist from Kaitlyn Klein at 8:41 of the second period on the powerplay. The Yellowjackets finished 0-for-4 with the skater advantage, including a chance late in the third when they ripped off two shots with fewer than five minutes remaining. GAC would finished 1-for-5 on the powerplay.

UW-Superior will be off this weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Yellowjackets return to action a week from Friday, resuming Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on the road Friday, Dec. 2 at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Puck drop is set for 7:00 p.m.
