The University of Wisconsin Superior bounced back in game two of its home-and-home series against St. Catherine University, handing the Wildcats a 4-2 defeat in St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday afternoon after falling Friday night at home.
Senior forward
Paige Dale (Andover, Minn./Andover H.S.) scored a pair of goals for UW-Superior (2-3-0), including the opening score of the game, tapping one in at 13:23 of the first period, assisted by sophomore
Mandy Tomlinson (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca H.S.) and junior
Jessica Marsalla (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing H.S.). The Yellowjackets would build on that lead at 6:03 in the second period as
Hailey Adair (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) scored her second of the series, getting an assist from junior
Mikayla Goodin (Andover, Minn./Andover H.S.).
St. Kate's (2-2-0) pulled within one just over three minutes later on the powerplay as Morgan Tentis scored her first of the game for the Wildcats, assisted by Tori Thompson and Mackenzie Ess. The same trio would combine for St. Catherine's third-period score. The 2-1 score held through the second intermission, but Dale would score her second of the day to give the Yellowjackets a two-goal edge at 5:54 of the third, getting an assist from Adair.
After Tentis scored her second of the game at 10:12 to pull St. Kate's back within one, the Wildcats would pull their goalie with 54 seconds remaining as Goodin netted an empty netter, getting an assist from
Molly Shelton (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island H.S.) on the play with just ten seconds remaining.
Senior goalie
Kim Kobar (The Pas, Man./Margaret Barbour Collegiate) made 30 saves for the Yellowjackets, picking up the victory, while Abbi White made 36 saves for St. Kate's. UWS finished 0-for-3 on the powerplay while St. Kate's was 2-for-7.

UW-Superior returns home for one last time Tuesday before a weekend off next week. The Yellowjackets host the University of St. Thomas at Wessman Arena with the puck set to drop at 7:00 p.m.
