The University of Wisconsin-Superior continued its momentum and handled Bethany Lutheran College as the Yellowjackets knocked off the Vikings 78-61 on the road in Mankato, Minnesota on Friday evening.

Bethany Lutheran (3-6, 2-2 UMAC) took an early four-point lead with 6:14 remaining in the first quarter, but UW-Superior (7-3, 4-0) would control the match-up the rest of the way, extending its lead out to a game-high 23 points with 6:41 remaining in the game. The Yellowjackets shot 43.7 percent for the game, hitting 31-of-71 shots for the game while out-rebounding the Vikings 50-to-32 on the night. Bethany Lutheran would hit 20-of-56 attempts from the floor, shooting 35.7 percent while doing much of their damage at the free throw line, where the Vikings were 20-of-29 (69 percent) while UWS was just 8-of-16 at the charity stripe but knocked down eight three-pointers to do the majority of its damage.

Three different players topped double digits scoring for the Yellowjackets, with junior guard Hailey Kontny (Superior, Wis./Superior H.S.) and sophomore forward Hannah Norlin (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield H.S.) leading the way with 15 points each. Norlin grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds on the back end of double-double. Junior forward Bailee Bartunek (Audobon, Minn./Lake Park-Audobon H.S.) also grabbed 10 boards to go with six points, while freshman forward Eva Reinertsen (Duluth, Minn./Homeschooled) had 10 points on her night. UW-Superior hit. Bethany Lutheran got a game-high 21 points from Hailey Sandin.
