The University of Wisconsin Superior contiuned to roll, relying on junior guard

Hannah Norlin (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield H.S.), as the Yellowjackets won their seventh straight, defeating Martin Luther College 86-60 on Saturday afternoon on the road in New Ulm, Minnesota.
UW-Superior (8-3, 5-0 UMAC) never trailed, opening the game on a 5-0 run and quickly turning that lead to double digits before five minutes had even clicked off in the first quarter at 14-4 with 5:08 to go in the opening frame. Martin Luther (2-9, 2-3 UMAC) cut the lead down to just two with 8:25 remaining in the second quarter at 23-21, but the Yellowjackets scored seven straight and eventually 22 of the next 26 points to push the lead out to 20 before the end of the first half as freshman forward
Eva Reinertsen (Duluth, Minn./Homeschooled) dropped in a three-pointer. She'd finish with 10 points on the afternoon off the bench.
Kontny led the way with 23 points as UWS built on its lead in the second half. Norlin added 18 and the duo each had a team-high eight rebounds. The Yellowjackets shot 54.7 percent on the game (35-of-64) hitting seven three-pointers including five in the first half. Martin Luther shot just 31.9 percent for the game. Jade St. Germaine led the way with 15 points and six rebounds for the Knights.

UW-Superior will be off for the next 11 days for the holiday before the Yellowjackets return home to host Alverno College on Thursday, Dec. 29 at Mortorelli Gym. Opening tip is set for 2:00 p.m.
