The University of Wisconsin Superior could not get the second half of its season started on the right foot as Bethel University knocked off the Yellowjackets 97-57 in Arden Hills, Minnesota on Friday night.
UW-Superior (2-11) never led in the game as Bethel (8-1) rolled to the victory. The Yellowjackets got 11 points from junior guard
Shaq Coleman (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East H.S.) and 10 from junior
Nate Kalien (Chippewa Falls, Wis./Chippewa Falls H.S.). The Royals had four players top double digits scoring led by Derek Magnuson with a game-high 16 to go with 11 rebounds.
After the two teams traded baskets to start the game, Bethel's Bridgeport Tusler knocked down three of his 14 points and the Royals never looked back, quickly adding to their lead as they shot 57.6 percent for the game (38-of-66). UW-Superior shot just 35.0 percent for the game and 30.0 percent (9-of-30) in the first half.

The Yellowjackets will be in exhibition action Tuesday as they travel across the bridge to take on the University of Minnesota Duluth on the road. The game will be the Bulldogs' Education Day with opening tip set for 1:00 p.m.
