Box Score The University of Wisconsin Superior's third-quarter offensive swarm helped the Yellowjackets pick up a come-from-behind victory over the University of Wisconsin Stout on Tuesday night, knocking off the Blue Devils 68-63 in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
After a slow offensive half for both teams that saw UW-Stout (2-5) hold a 26-23 edge over the road team. UW-Superior (4-3) scored 22 points out of the locker room in the third quarter, turning a halftime deficit into a seven-point lead as they surrendered just 12 points to the Blue Devils. The fourth quarter saw both teams come alive in shootout fashion as UWS held off Stout despite a 25-23 edge for the Devils in the final frame.
The Yellowjackets finished 14-of-24 from the free throw line in the second half , but hit 15-of-24 from the floor in the same frame to hold off UW-Stout despite hitting just one three-pointer on the night. The Blue Devils hit 30.2 percent from the floor but were 22-of-30 from the free throw line, knocking down 3-of-11 three-pointers. After knotting the score at 29-all in the third, UW-Superior knocked down nine straight points to take the lead for good on the night.

Hannah Norlin (Litchfield, Minn./Litchfield H.S.) led the way for the Yellowjackets with 22 points on the night. Junior guard
Hailey Kontny (Superior, Wis./Superior H.S.) scored 21 while matching junior
Bailee Bartunek (Audobon, Minn./Lake Park-Audobon H.S.) with a game-high eight rebounds. Junior Justin Larson also had 10 points on the night. Shannan Watkins had 21 points to lead the Blue Devils.

UW-Superior will be back at home this weekend to wrap up the season's first half. The Yellowjackets (2-0) host Northland College in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action. Opening tip is set for 5:30 p.m. preceding the men's contest.
