The University of Wisconsin Superior could not turn chances into goals while Bethany Lutheran College had a pair of scores in each half to knock off the Yellowjackets 4-0 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action at the Yellowjacket Soccer Complex in Superior on Saturday afternoon.
UW-Superior (0-6-0, 0-2-0 UMAC) has yet to score on its home field after being swept in a three-game homestand this week. Bethany Lutheran (4-3-1, 2-0-0 UMAC) had just a 7-3 shots advantage after the first half, making good on a pair of scores with Ali Mix breaking the scoreless tie at the 10:34 mark of the game, while Rachel Bitter scored in the final minute of the half on a somewhat controversial goal call as a Yellowjacket player was down on the turf injured while play continued on. The Vikings' Nicole Moldstad made her impact on the game in the second half with two scores, the first assisted by Mix.

Liza Shelquist (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island H.S.) had two shots, including one on-net against Bethany goalkeeper Averi Cash.

The Yellowjackets will travel to Ashland, Wisconsin on Wednesday to take on UMAC rival Northland College. Opening kick is set for 2:00 p.m. preceding the men's contest.
