DULUTH, Minn. (October 3, 2017) – Superior faced off against the rival St. Scholastica Saints Tuesday evening, but was able to come out with a victory, falling 5-0.
The Saints scored early, going up 2-0 after the 14th minute. Superior stabilized their defense, holding on until the 39th minute when Scholastica scored to go up 3-0.
Superior only produced two shots on the day coming from
Britt Zieroth (Twig, Minn./Proctor) and
Chloe Schmaltz (Beaumount, Alta./Escole Secondaire Beaumont Composite).
Bailey Henderson (Oakdale, Minn./North St. Paul) made six saves in the game, playing 77 minutes for the 'Jackets, while
Sky Brown (Lenore, Man./Virden Collegiate Institute) found some time in goal, playing 13 minutes and making one save.
Superior will face Crown College this Saturday, Oct. 7, on the road and will look to get another conference win against the Storm.
