The University of Wisconsin Superior closed out the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season with a 2-1 come-from-behind vicotry over the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point on Friday night in Stevens Point, Wis.
The two teams skated scoreless through the first half of the game, but UW-Stevens Point (12-9-2, 4-5-0 WIAC) got on the board at the midpoint of the second period, as Meredith Engebretsen put the Pointers up after an assist from Ellie Punnett. UWSP would hold the advantage into the second intermission, but UW-Superior (11-13-0, 2-7-0 WIAC) had an answer early in the third as the team went to the powerplay before first-year forward
Molly Shelton (Pine Island, Minn./Pine Island H.S.) knotted the game at one apiece just 2:13 into the period, getting assists from freshman
Kaleigh Martinson (Dayton, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) and sophomore

Leah Elledge (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) would get on the board for UWS, giving the Yellowjackets their first lead of the game at 6:34 of the third with an unassisted tally.
Senior goaltender
Kim Kobar (The Pas, Man./Margaret Barbour Collegiate) would take over from their, shutting out the Pointers the rest of the way and finishing with 21 saves for the game. Sydney Conley had 28 saves for UW-Stevens Point before being removed for an extra attacker in the final 1:40. UW-Superior finished 0-for-2 on the powerplay, while the Yellowjackets did not draw a single penalty on the night.

UW-Superior will host Northland College in the team's regular season finale at Wessman Arena on Wednesday night. The game will be the team's annual pink game promoting breast cancer research. Opening puck drop between the Yellowjackets and LumberJills is set for 7:00 p.m.
