Three players combined to score eight goals for the University of Wisconsin Superior as the Yellowjackets routed Northland College 8-0 on the way to a series sweep of the LumberJills on Saturday in Hayward, Wisconsin.
Freshman
Kaleigh Martinson (Dayton, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) had a natural hat trick in the third period and a fourth goal for good measure earlier in the game for UW-Superior (9-13-0). Senior
Hailey Adair (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) had two goals and an assist for the second-straight game, while junior
Mikayla Goodin (Andover, Minn./Andover H.S.) added a two-goal, one-assist effort in the game. The Yellowjackets led 1-0 after one, with Goodin scoring her first of the day, an unassisted short-handed tally at 11:22 of the first period. The remainder of the scores came at even strength as Martinson scored her first of the day at 12:39 of the second starting a string of four goals in 6:50 of game time, followed by Goodin's second of the day at 16:03 and Adair's two scores at 17:50 and 19:29. Leah Elledge (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park H.S.) and junior
Emily Heid (Elk River, Minn./Elk River H.S.) each had two assists on the day.
Senior
Kim Kobar (The Pas, Man./Margaret Barbour Collegiate) made it two straight victories while needing just 13 saves on the day. Maggie Cusey made 26 saves in the first two periods before being relieved by Chloe Marshall, who made 13 stops in the final frame. The Yellowjackets' 47 shots on goal were nearly four times that of Northland.

UW-Superior will remain on the road next week beginning with a trip to Northfield, Minnesota to take on St. Olaf College on Tuesday. The puck will drop between the Yellowjackets and Oles at 7:30 p.m.
