Updated 3/31/2017: Some schedule changes have been announced for Yellowjacket baseball's weekend series with the University of Chicago. Saturday, the teams will play one nine-inning game on the campus of the University of Ill.-Chicago at 6:30 p..m. before returning to UChicago's campus Sunday for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.

Baseball (2-9)
- The Yellowjackets dropped two in their first northern road trip of the season, falling to Macalester College 7-5 and 19-8 on Wednesday night. Junior shortstop
Nick McNosky (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle H.S.) has impressed at the plate on the young season, batting .417 (10-of-24) with a home run, seven RBIs, and 10 runs scored on the season. Senior righty
Trevor Stone (Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn H.S.) was UW-Superior's top starter in Arizona, tossing a complete game with one earned run. This weekend, the Yellowjackets travel to Chicago, Illinois for a three-game series with the University of Chicago. Saturday's doubleheader will take place at Curtis Granderson Stadium, the home of the University of Ill.-Chicago due to scheduling conflicts while the two teams will be at UChicago's home field. The Maroon has gone 8-4 on the young season.
Men's and Women's Golf
- The season's second half begins next week for the UWS golf teams as they will open their spring season a week from Friday at the Crown College Match Play Triangular on April 7.
Softball (7-8)
- The Yellowjackets return to the northland this weekend to open UMAC play against Martin Luther College. Wednesday, UW-Superior will take on Northland College in the team's home opener - weather and field conditions permitting. The Yellowjackets fell 8-2 last time out against Manchester (Ind.) Saige Patrick (Steinbach, Man./St. Mary's Academy) leads UW-Superior with a .389 batting average, slugging .583 on the season with four doubles and one home run. Rookie
Megan Pehrson (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids H.S.) has posted a 1.41 ERA in her first 49.2 innings, working to a 4-2 record on the young season in nine appearances including six starts. Martin Luther opened its home season on Tuesday splitting a UMAC series against Bethany Lutheran, including a 7-1 victory last time out. Northland has posted a 1-15 record on the season, opening UMAC play against Bethany this weekend.
Men's and Women's Track & Field
- The Yellowjackets will open up the outdoor season Saturday, looking to follow up a UMAC Indoor Championship on the men's side and second-place finish on the women's side this winter with an impressive performance outside. The UWS men claimed a UMAC Outdoor Championship in 2015-16 while the women were third a season ago in the Yellowjackets' debut season in the conference. The first meet of the year will be Saturday in St. Paul, Minnesota - the Hamline University Opener.
