MOORHEAD, Minn. (September 10, 2017) – The Yellowjackets dropped two games this past weekend, as they played Buena Vista and Concordia Moorhead in the Concordia Triangular Saturday and Sunday.

Buena Vista jump out of the gate on Superior, scoring a goal from five yards out in the first two minutes of the contest, and then again in the 13th minute. The Yellowjackets went into halftime down 2-0. The second period they bounced back, as Emma Street (Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis) scored her first collegiate goal, assisted from Selena Pena (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Fridley) in the 82nd minute, but this wouldn't be enough as Superior fell 3-1.

The second game of the weekend wasn't much kinder to the Yellowjackets. Concordia Moorhead put up three goals on the game, and shutout the 'Jackets, having 20 shots to Superior's zero.

The 'Jackets will look to bounce back this week as they play their home opener on Wednesday Sept. 13 against UW-Stout at 7 p.m.
