SUPERIOR, Wis. (September 20, 2017) – Superior squared off against the Hamline University Pipers for their second game in two days, Wednesday, and scored one goal to the Pipers two, in the loss.

The Pipers scored first in the 4th minute, on a long-ball turnover from the Yellowjackets that led Adam King to the right side of the box. The Yellowjackets found a few chances in the first, including back-to-back free kicks, but were unable to connect. The Pipers held their 1-0 advantage through the first half.

The Pipers found the dagger in the 83rd minute as Trevor Tallaksen found goal on a header after a free kick. The Yellowjackets scored in the 89th minute after James Bruce (Gladstone, Mich./Gladstone) crossed the ball deep in the box to find Gunnar O'Neil-Sengbush on the right side for the tap in for the score.
