Finally, Bobbijean Miller singled and brought Gidley home to make it a 12-6 game, putting the Eagles out of reach.
Game 2
It was a tale of two games against the Finlandia Lions as they took a strong 4-0 lead on Superior in the first inning. The Yellowjackets would fire back in the second with a Miller double that brought Gidley home, and then a passed ball would give an unearned run to the 'Jackets making it 4-2.
The Lions bounced back with a big third inning to add three points, while the final point came in the top of the sixth.
The Yellowjackets would find their final point in the bottom of the seventh as Lizzy Borgwardt (Verona, Wis./Verona Area) singled and advanced to third on an error and wild pitch. Fjeran would bring her home on a single to center, but the comeback was thwarted on a double play from third to first.
