SAINT PAUL, Minn.: The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference named its athletes of the week for the period ending Jan. 13 on Monday, and UW-Superior swept the men's and women's basketball and men's indoor track and field honors.

Senior guard Montroy Scott (Fridley, Minn./Columbia Heights) earned UMAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, and junior guard Eva Reinertsen (Duluth, Minn./Homeschooled) claimed her second weekly honor of the season on the women's side.

Junior distance runner Henry Seeb (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) was named UMAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, and senior thrower C.J. Pillath (Coleman, Wis./Coleman) picked up UMAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.

Scott averaged 24 points, five rebounds and 3.6 assists in leading the Yellowjackets to a 1-1 week. He was 17-for-33 (51.5 percent) from the field, 5-of-8 from 3-point range and made 9-of-10 free throws. Scott scored a career-high 33 points in the 'Jackets 92-91 overtime win against North Central Saturday.

In 16 games this season, Scott is averaging 20.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

Reinertsen helped the women's basketball team to a 2-0 week, averaging 17 points and 9.5 rebounds, while shooting 59.1 percent from the floor. She scored a career-high-tying 25 points and added 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season in a 71-61 win over Northwestern Wednesday. She added nine points and eight boards in an 86-35 win against North Central Saturday.

Reinertsen is averaging 15.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 52.4 percent in 16 games this season.

Seeb won the 3,000 meters in 9:38.85 at the UST Opener, hosted by St. Thomas, on
Friday. He outran the competition by more than four seconds and was just four seconds off his personal best in the event, which he set last season.

Pillath finished third in the weight throw with a toss of 17.71 meters at St. Thomas. The mark currently ranks 11th nationally. He also was fourth in the shot put with a distance of 15.07 meters, which is 19th best in the country.

The men's and women's basketball teams play host to Finlandia Monday at Mertz Mortorelli Gym, at 5:30 and 7 p.m., respectively. The track and field team is back in action Saturday when it hosts the Twin Ports Open at Lydia Thering Fieldhouse at 11 a.m.
