SUPERIOR, Wis. – Four players scored double figures and the UW-Superior men's basketball team shot 57.1 percent from the floor, including 63 percent in the first half, rolling to an 84-60 victory over Bethany Lutheran at Mertz Mortorelli Gym on Saturday.

Vid Milenkovic (Zurich, Switzerland/DSB Belgrade (Serbia)) scored a game-high 24 points, pulling down seven rebounds, and classmate
Allen Anderson (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo) added 22 points and six boards to pace Yellowjackets' attack, which saw seven players score points and 19 earn playing time.
The win improves UWS to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in the UMAC. Bethany Lutheran was limited to just 37.5 percent from the field, falling to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the league.
The 'Jackets ran out to a 24-0 lead in the first 7:31 and never looked back. Four players scored in the stretch, led by Anderson and
Mac Reykdal (Washburn, Wis./Washburn) with eight apiece. UWS missed just three of its first 11 shots from the field and hit four 3-pointers.
UWS, which also received double-digit scoring efforts from Reykdal with 15 and
Mason Ackley (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) with 11, held a 46-26 advantage at halftime. Milenkovic knocked down a trey off of an Ackley offensive rebound four minutes into the second half for a 59-36 lead. Ackley canned a jumper in the paint two minutes later to extend the lead to 26 at 69-43.
Superior took its largest lead of the day with five-and-a-half minutes remaining as Ackley drained a free throw, and cruised the rest of the way to the win.
The 'Jackets won the rebounding battle by a 39-30 margin. They dished out 12 assists on 28 made baskets with five coming from Anderson. Reykdal collected three of the team's seven steals.
Colton Williams (Columbia Heights, Minn./Columbia Heights) just missed being Superior's fifth starter in double figures, scoring nine points. He also chipped in with five rebounds and three assists.
UWS is off until returning to the court Dec. 29 at the Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament at St. Norbert. The 'Jackets open the tournament against the host Green Knights at 7 p.m., and will play either Edgewood or UW-Stout Dec. 30 at 5 or 7 p.m.
