Yellowjacket Athletics and Superior Beverages, LLC recently renewed their corporate partnership for the 2019-20 athletic year, and for the fourth straight year the two will join forces to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation as part of the agreement.

For every goal the Yellowjacket men's and women's hockey teams score at home during the 2019-20 season, Superior Beverages, LLC will donate $20 to Folds of Honor, with a maximum donation of $2,000. Monitors in the lobby of Wessman Arena will show the amount raised for Folds of Honor throughout the year. In the first three years of the partnership, the two teams combined to raise $4,280 for the Folds of Honor Foundation.

"Everyone has heard me say over the years that we wouldn't be able to do the things we do without the support receive from our corporate partners in Superior and the surrounding area. Their support, financial and otherwise, is vital to us being able to provide the best possible experience we can for our student-athletes, and Superior Beverages has been at the forefront of that. They have been one of our most supportive and longest-running corporate partners, and we're extremely grateful to Gary Warmington and everyone at Superior Beverages for what they do for us and the community," said UW-Superior Athletics Director Nick Bursik. "UW-Superior is annually named among the most military friendly universities in the United States, so to be able to work with a partner that sees the same value in helping military families achieve a college education is a great thing. Both Yellowjacket Athletics and Superior Beverages are excited to raise more money in 2019-20."

The Yellowjacket women's hockey team will open the 2019-20 season with a non-conference series at home against Concordia University Wisconsin. Games will be Friday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. The men's hockey team will open the season at home with non-conference games against Saint Mary's and St. Olaf November 8 and 9. Both games will start at 7:05 p.m.
