PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The UW-Superior women's soccer team and Lakeland played to a scoreless draw Saturday morning at Taylor Field.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Madison Gutekunst (Mound, Minn./Mound Westonka) earned her seventh career shutout with a season-high 10 saves. Gutekeunst made six stops in the second half and overtime for the Yellowjackets (0-2-1).
Freshman defender
Hailey Miller (Hayward, Wis./Hayward) and junior midfielder
Emma Street (Oak Grove, Minn./St. Francis) each collected two shots on goal for UWS.
Annah Schussman (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) and
Olivia Harding (Phillips, Wis./Phillips) had the 'Jackets other two shots.
Lakeland's Emely Ortega was equally tough in goal, turning away all she saw, as well.
Lakeland (1-1-1) lead in corner kicks, 6-3.
Superior is back in action Sunday at Alverno at 1 p.m., in Milwaukee.
