DULUTH, Minn. – The UW-Superior women's track and field team posted six top-five finishes in individual events to begin the 2021-22 indoor season on Saturday at The Opener at St. Scholastica's Burns Wellness Commons.

Sophomore
Chloe Higgins (Lakeland, Fla./Superior Senior) ran 8.26 in the 60-meter dash for second place overall. She won her heat in the preliminary round in a time of 8.22.

Claudia Androsky (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 11.52 while
Jess Newman (Wanamingo, Minn./Pine Island) finished fifth overall in 11.93.Â

Higgins also finished fifth in the pole vault with a leap of 2.30 meters and sixth in the 200-meter dash in 28.59.Â

Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) placed third in the weight throw with a toss of 14.45 meters.
