DUNDAS, Minn. – Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) pitched a complete-game two-hitter as the UW-Superior softball team split with Concordia (Minn.) at the Dundas Dome on Friday.

The Yellowjackets won the first game, 5-1 and dropped the second by the same score in six innings due to meeting the four-hour time limit. UWS moved to 3-3 on the season while Concordia goes to 4-4.

Superior scored four runs in the top of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie for the game-one win.
Tiffany Kirk (McHenry, Ill./McHenry East) led off the inning with a single up the middle and
Olivia Bancroft-Hart (Cambria, Wis./Cambria-Friesland) reached on an error, moving Kirk to third. After a strikeout,
Davriana Horvath (Esko, Minn./Esko) reached on another error that plated Kirk for a 2-1 lead. Next up,
Bryton Kukowski (Duluth, Minn./Hermantown) hit an RBI single, scoring Bancroft Hart and moving pinch runner
Hailey Chandler (Culver, Minn./South Ridge) to third.

Marley Burd (Glendale, Ariz./Centennial) then reached on the Cobbers' third error of the inning, chasing Chandler home for the three-run advantage.

Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) allowed a one-out walk in the bottom of the inning, but retired the final two hitters in order for the victory to improve to 2-2 on the year.

Bancroft-Hart and
Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) each had a pair of hits to lead Superior's seven-hit attack. Kirk, Kukowski and Burd had the others for the 'Jackets.

Concordia scored two runs in the first, one in the third and two in the sixth inning in the second game for a 5-0 lead. The 'Jackets tried to mount a rally in their half of the inning, but could only muster a two-out RBI single by
Jessica Jacobson (Sturgeon Bay, Wis./Southern Door) that scored pinch runner
Kaylie Walters (Cornell, Wis./Cornell).

Jacobson was the only UWS player with multiple hits in the nightcap, going 2-for-3.

Malania Madill (Canyon, Minn./South Ridge) went the first five innings in the circle, surrendering four runs (two earned) and three hits with three strikeouts.

The 'Jackets return to action Wednesday in a non-conference doubleheader with Crown, also at the Dundas Dome at 2 p.m.
