WAUKESHA, Wis. – The postseason honors continue to roll in for the UW-Superior men's soccer team following its fourth consecutive Upper Midwest Athletic Conference tournament championship Saturday.
 
On Thursday, six Yellowjackets were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Wisconsin Teams. Junior midfielder Blake Perry (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) led the way with Offensive Player of the Year honors along with an All-Wisconsin First-Team selection. Joining Perry on the first team is junior forward Protus Babaya (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) while a trio of seniors in goalkeeper Ulrik Lager (Vollen, Norway/Asker VGS), midfielder Miguel Ocampo (St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park) and defender Scott Wilson (Ladybank, Scotland/Bell Baxter) picked up second-team honors. Junior defender Noah Merritt (Woodville, Wis./Baldwin-Woodville) was an honorable-mention selection.
 
Perry's first-team honor is second of his career. He tallied 13 goals and nine assists for 35 points in 12 matches with three game winners this season. He scored at least one goal in all but one match this season, collecting two on four occasions, including the UMAC championship match against Bethany Lutheran on Saturday.
 
Babaya made an immediate impact in his first season with the Yellowjackets as a transfer from Division II Colorado State-Pueblo. He recorded six goals and seven assists for 19 points in 10 matches. Babaya scored a hat trick in a 6-0 victory at North Central on April 7 and added goals at Northland on March 30 and in both matches against the Bethany Lutheran on April 10 and May 8.
 
Lager started 11 of the Yellowjackets' 12 matches and turned in seven clean sheets during the season. He made 31 saves with an .816 save percentage.
 
Wilson anchored a backline that surrendered just eight goals and 6.7 shots per match in 12 outings. He played 910 minutes, scoring four goals and one assist for nine points. He also converted a penalty in the season opener at Northland on March 30, a 5-1 win.
 
Ocampo scored four goals and was second on the team with eight assists for 16 points. He notched game-winning goals at Northland on March 30 and at Minnesota Morris April 17.
 
Merritt was part of the Superior defense that limited the opposition to 0.67 goals per match. He played 887 minutes, appearing in all 12 matches.
 
The Yellowjackets finished the season 11-1-0 with an 8-0-0 mark in the UMAC.
