GENEVA, Switzerland – Former UW-Superior men's basketball standout Vid Milenkovic (Zurich, Switzerland/DSB Belgrade (Serbia)) has been signed by Lions de Genève, the club announced Monday.
 
Milenkovic spent the 2020-21 season with Starwings in the Swiss Basketball League, averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 32 games for the Basel, Switzerland-based team. Milenkovic helped lead Starwings to the SBL final as well as the cup final.
 
Milenkovic appeared in 82 career games with 69 starts for the Yellowjackets from 2014-20, scoring 1,038 points. He averaged 12.7 points, 7.4 rebounds per game and shot 51.7 percent from the floor. 
 
Milenkovic was named First Team All-UMAC as a senior in 2019-20 and was an honorable-mention selection in 2017-18.
 
Both Lions de Genève and Starwings compete in the top tier of the SBL. Lions de Genève has won four Swiss cup titles, three league cup titles and two Swiss championships since beginning play in 2000.
