ST. PAUL, Minn. – UW-Superior sophomore forward
Niya Wilson (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) has been named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer, the league announced Tuesday.
Wilson scored two goals – including the game-winning penalty kick – as the Yellowjackets nipped UW-River Falls, 3-2, on Sunday for the first time in 26 all-time meetings. Wilson scored the first goal of the match in the sixth minute and then broke a 2-2 tie in the 33rd from the penalty spot.
