Mackie Ringrose (Ewhurst, England/St. Peter's Catholic School) figured into both of the UW-Superior goals against Northland, but Northland converted a penalty kick with 2:30 remaining to force a 2-2 draw on Tuesday at NBC Spartan Complex.
Ringrose opened the scoring in the ninth minute with his third goal of the season from freshman
Freddy Watson (Wendover, England/Berkshire College of Agriculture) and set up freshman
Jake Kidd's (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) 71st-minute marker that gave UWS a 2-1 advantage.
The LumberJacks' Harrison Tibbets buried a kick from the penalty spot in the 78th minute as the two teams tied for the second time this season.
Northland's Jonah Evans knotted the match for the first time with a header in the 18th minute, assisted by Quinn Bieber.
UWS (8-2-2, 6-0-2 UMAC) outshot Northland (5-5-4, 4-1-3) 28-5 overall and 12-3 in shots on frame, forcing goalkeeper Jamie Colvill (4-5-4) into 10 saves.
Alex Paredes (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) stopped one shot, moving to 8-1-2 on the season.
