SUPERIOR, Wis. -- Six different players scored goals and 12 collected points as the UW-Superior women's soccer team rolled over North Central, 8-0, in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play at NBC Spartan Sports Complex on Saturday.

The eight-goal margin of victory is the largest for Superior since beating Finlandia, 9-0, on Oct. 12, 2012, at home.

Junior Tori Vosburg (Cloquet, Minn./Esko) and sophomore Ava Giswold (Duluth, Minn./Proctor) each scored their first two goals of the season, while freshman Rachel Webb (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) bagged her first career goal, off the bench. Freshman Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld), sophomore Mya Holmquist (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) and junior Allison Alessi (Shakopee, Minn./Prior Lake) also scored for UWS, which improved to 7-3-2 overall and 7-0-0 in the UMAC.

The Yellowjackets outshot North Central, 43-2, for the match and 18-0 in shots on goal, scoring six times after halftime to leave no doubt.

UWS made it 1-0 just 15 seconds into the contest as Vosburg's shot from the left edge of the penalty area found its way over the outstretched arm of Rams' goalkeeper Abigail Herbolsheimer (10 saves). Junior Lindrey Schendel (Firestone, Colo./Skyline) assisted on the goal, one of her three on the day.

Giswold's header, assisted by Holmquist, doubled the lead in the 19th minute and that's the way it stayed for the rest of the opening half.

Holmquist scored in the 49th minute from Vosburg and Schendel before Vosburg added her second in the 62nd from Schendel. Giswold's second in he 66th with a helpers from freshman Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) and freshman Brynne Crystal (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) made it 5-0.

Alessi's fifth of the season in the 73rd came from sophomore Erika Schneider (Wausau, Wis./Wausau West) and senior Kenzie Oehlerking (Farmington, Minn./Farmington Area) for a 6-0 lead. Hill scored in the 79th from freshman Beth Schneider (Wausau, Wis./Wausau West) and sophomore Emma Fornengo (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior), and Webb scored from Brynne Crystal (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) in the 86th to cap the scoring.

Freshman goalie Quinn Clark (Duluth Minn./Duluth East) picked up her first collegiate victory and second clean sheet of the season, improving to 1-1-1 overall.

North Central fell to 0-11-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the UMAC with the loss.

The Yellowjackets are back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Northland for a 7 p.m., kickoff at Ponzio Stadium.
