ST. PETER, Minn. --Â Second-ranked Gustavus Adolphus scored five times on the power play -- all in the third period -- on its way to a 7-0 victory over the UW-Superior women's hockey team at Don Roberts Ice Rink on Tuesday.

Gustavus (6-0-0) exploded for six goals in the third period, including two from Clara Billings, in the win.
Rose Beeman (Minneapolis, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's School) made 47 saves in the UWS net with 31 coming in the first two periods before the game got out of hand.

After a scoreless first period, Heather Olinger found Hannah Gray at 8:35 of the second for a 1-0 Gusties' lead. Hailey Hollard made it 2-0 on the power play from Emily Olson at 5:10 of the third before Kaitlyn Holland scored at 7:18 with Billings on the assist.

Billings (13:06 and 14:39), Sophia Coltvet(15:42) and Lily Mortenson (16:46) all tallied on the power play to round out the scoring.

Emma Booth (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd),
Cailey Davidson (St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo) and
Maddie Rewertz (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) had shots for Superior.

Jori Jones played the second period between the pipes for Gustavus, earning the win. She made two saves. Maria Widen drew the start and made one save, while Katie McCoy played the third, making two saves.

Gustavus went 5-for-9 on the power play and UWS was 0-for-1.
