FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Sophomore right-hander
Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) held Nazareth to three hits and struck out six and the UW-Superior softball team hung 14 runs on SUNY Delhi to move to 4-0 in the Gene Cusic Classic on Tuesday.
UWS (8-0) beat Nazareth, 8-0, in six innings to open the day and made quick work of SUNY Delhi, banging out 15 hits in the nightcap.
Game 1 -- UWS 8, Nazareth 0 (six innings)
Kraemer improved to 5-0 on the season, getting seven groundball outs and four in the air to go with her six strikeouts.
Superior scored at least once four separate innings as five different players collected multiple hits in the victory.
Jessica Jacobson (Sturgeon Bay, Wis./Southern Door) went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and two driven in. The top of the lineup --

Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) and
Tiffany Kirk (McHenry, Ill./McHenry East) -- was 6-for-10 with five RBIs. Kirk knocked in three runs on her own.
Nazareth (3-2) mustered only singles in the third and fourth innings. The 'Jackets allowed just one runner past first base the entire game and led, 6-0, after four frames before tacking on runs in the fifth and sixth to bring the game to an early end.
Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) and Kirk stroked consecutive two-out hits in the third inning that scored to make it a 6-0 game.
Tayler Kraemer's (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) triple to left-center field plated Oliviua Bancroft-Hart and Kirk followed with a single to center, scoring Kraemer.
Jacobson hit a one-out single down the line in right field to score
Norah Schmitz (Waconia, Minn./Waconia) in the fifth and Kirk ended the game with a sacrifice fly in the sixth that scored
Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights).
Maddie Funk (2-1) took the loss for Nazareth in five innings. She gave up 10 hits and seven earned runs before giving way to Hailie Bennett in the sixth.
Game 2 -- UWS 14, SUNY Delhi 3 (five innings)
The Yellowjackets scored six runs in the first inning and eight in the third to open a 14-0 lead in the second game against SUNY Delhi (2-6).

Zoe Thomson (Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson) highlighted the big third with the 'Jackets' first home run of the season, a three-run blast to left.
Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) paced the offense with a 3-for-3 game, including two runs scored and two stolen bases with an RBI.
Freshman left-hander
Emma Pillion (Ottawa, Ill./Ottawa Township) earned her first victory in the circle with the five-inning complete game. She allowed six hits and three runs with three walks. Pillion fanned one.
UWS faces Wilmington and Brockport Wednesday at 8 and 10 a.m. CT as it continues play in the Gene Cusic Classic.
