MOORHEAD, Minn. --Â The UW-Superior men's soccer team scored three goals in the second half to defeat, 4-1, Concordia (Minn.) in non-conference action at Jake Christiansen Stadium on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets received two goals apiece from senior
Blake Perry (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) and junior
Phillip Eriksen (Skjetten, Norway/Lorenskog) in the victory, improving to 2-1-0 on the season.

The Cobbers' Mason Weigel opened the scoring in the 26th minute before UWS tallied four unanswered goals. Eriksen tied the match in the 32nd minute, assisted by sophomore
Josh Bellamy (High Wycombe, England/FAB Football Academy), and that's how it stayed through the first half. Â

Perry and Eriksen scored 1:17 apart in the 59th and 60th minutes to take the lead. Perry's first goal of the day was assisted by sophomore
Mackie Ringrose (Ewhurst, England/St Peter's Catholic School) while
Aaron Shartin-Folkert (Hudson, Wis./Somerset) got the assist on Ericksen's second.

Perry put the match away with his fourth of the year just 11 seconds later with Ringrose earning his second assist of the day.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Alex Paredes (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) improved to 2-0-0 on the season, making five saves, including four in the second half. Erick Torres made five saves in a losing effort for CC, which dropped to 1-3-0 overall as a team.

UWS outshot Concordia, 16-12, overall and 9-6 in shots on target.Â
