HANCOCK, Mich. – Eight different players scored goals, sophomore
Emma Booth (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) notched a hat trick and junior
Rose Beeman (Minneapolis, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's School) picked up her second shutout in as many days, as the UW-Superior women's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Finlandia, 11-0, at Houghton County Arena Sunday.

The Yellowjackets scored three goals in the first period and four each in the second and third to improve to 7-7-0 overall. Booth, who posted her first career hat trick, matched her career high, set Saturday, scoring four points. Junior
Jenna Hoops (Woodbury, Minn./Visitation School) also tallied a career-high five points on two goals and three assists, leading a group of five with multiple points. Booth and Hoops are tied for the team lead with six goals apiece, while Booth is tops on the squad with 14 points.

Beeman made 10 saves for her fourth shutout of the season and fifth of her career, which included helping to ward off a 5-on-3 in the third period.

UWS outshot Finlandia (0-15-0), 53-10, Sunday and 120-22 on the weekend.

Hoops opened the scoring at 10:15 of the first period when she slapped home a centering pass by
Cailey Davidson (St. Cloud, Minn./Apollo) from behind the net.
Jada LeBlanc (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute) also assisted on the play. Just 34 seconds later, a wrister from
Cora Coz (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) beat Finlandia goaltender Lexi Holman (42 saves) on the glove side to make it 2-0. The goal was the third of the season for Coz.

Freshman
Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) potted an unassisted marker at 15:44 of the period on a 1-on-3 rush for her third goal of the season, sending Superior into the intermission up, 3-0.

Booth's first of the day came on the power play 15 seconds into the second period on a backhander in the slot with assists by Hoops and
Lucy Drougas (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior). The 'Jackets made it 5-0 at 12:44 when Hoops curled off of the left-wing boards and found space between Holman's pads.

Veda Roeske (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) snapped a shot from the right circle off of a feed from sophomore
Brynn MacLean (Wilcox, Saskatchewan/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame) for her first collegiate goal and a 6-0 advantage at 14:56 of the second.

Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) and Coz, pushing the lead to 7-0 through two periods.

UWS was 1-for-3 on the power play and killed all three of the Lions' opportunities with the extra skater on the day.
