MANKATO, Minn.—The UW-Superior women's soccer team was on the road Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Mankato, facing off Against Bethany Lutheran in a battle for first place in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC).

The Yellowjackets (9-4-1, 9-1-0 UMAC) wasted no time in the opening 45 minutes with a quick goal just one minute into the match, Setting the tone for what would be a 2-1 win over the Vikings at Scheels Field.

Getting the 'Jackets on the board in the first minute of play was, Lindrey Schendel (Firestone, Colo./Skyline), scoring her first goal of the season for the Yellowjackets, giving them an early lead 1-0.

Another 60 minutes would go by before we had anymore scoring for either team. Mia Saulter would score for Bethany to tie the game up at 1-1, in the 61st minute of play. Elena Lujan Rubio would be credited with the assist.
