SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior softball team announced its 2024 schedule in an announcement Tuesday. Coming off a 2023 season where head coach Melissa Fracker led her squad to its second Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) championship in three seasons, she looks to claim her third conference title in just four seasons at the helm.
 
For the third-straight season, the Yellowjackets will begin the campaign at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational March 2-3. They will face the Titans Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by a game with Beloit at 2 p.m. Sunday's matchups are scheduled with Edgewood at 10 a.m., and Ripon at 12 p.m. All games will take place inside the UW-Oshkosh Rec Plex.
 
The 'Jackets will once again travel to Florida to take place in the 34th Annual Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. They will play in 10 games in the Sunshine State spanning from March 10-15, with opponents to be announced at a later date.
 
After returning to Superior the Yellowjackets commence UMAC play, as they welcome Northland to the NBC Spartan Sports Complex for a three-game series March 22-23. Friday's game will start at 3 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader will commence at 11 a.m. Martin Luther comes to Superior March 28-29, with a first pitch of 3 p.m. on Thursday, and a doubleheader on Friday scheduled for 11 a.m. During the span of April 5-6, the 'Jackets will host Crown to end the homestand. Friday's game is set for a 3 p.m. start, while Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 11 a.m.
 
UWS will then hit the road for eight games, beginning with a three-game set against North Central. Friday's game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start, while Saturday's doubleheader will begin at 11 a.m. The following weekend, the Yellowjackets travel to the campus of Minnesota Morris. Game time on April 20 is slated for a 5 p.m. start, while Sunday's games will start at 11 a.m.
 
Before returning to Superior, the 'Jackets will compete in a mid-week doubleheader against the Blugolds of UW-Eau Claire, beginning at 3 p.m. Two days later, UWS will host Northwestern on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game time is slated for 3 p.m., while Saturday's games commence with a first pitch of 1 p.m.
 
Tuesday, April 30 the Yellowjackets welcome the Blue Devils from UW-Stout for a doubleheader at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex, which is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
 
The final regular season opponent for UW-Superior will be the Vikings of Bethany Lutheran. Game one of the three-game set is scheduled for Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader will start at 12 p.m., with all games to be played at BLC Softball Field.
 
UWS capped the 2023 campaign with an overall record of 31-13 and a conference record of 17-4, advancing to their fifth NCAA Tournament in program history.
