SUPERIOR, Wis. --Â The UW-Superior women's track and field team hosted the second-annual Maday Classic at Dr. Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse Saturday, turning in 23 top-five finishes in individual events.

The Yellowjackets earned one event win on the day as
Halle Barker (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) took the 5,000-meter run in 20:03.15.
Tea Boerner (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna Senior) finished second in the race in a time of 21:05.12.

Alexxa DeQuevedo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley) was second overall in both the 60- and 200-meter hurdles in times of 9.68 seconds and 30.25 seconds, respectively.
Jess Newman (Wanamingo, Minn./Pine Island) was third in the 200 hurdles in 37.92, followed by
Kenzy Kreuzer (Stoddard, Wis./De Soto) in fourth in 42.81.

Meagan Berg (Tomahawk, Wis./Tomahawk) was second in the 800 meters, clocking 2:39.16, and
Cora Hudella (North Branch, Minn./North Branch Area) was fifth in 2:44.67.Â

Jeanna Scanlon (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) finished fourth in the mile in 6:28.37.

Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) was third overall in the high jump with a leap of 1.36 meters while
Myla Volk (Wabeno, Wis./Wabeno) was fourth in 1.31 meters.
Brooke Petrich (Keewatin, Minn./Greenway) placed third in the pole vault with a vault of 2.36 meters and Kreuzer was forth at 1.76 meters.

Volk finished second in the triple jump at 9.20 meters, which
Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) led a group of five Yellowjackets in the weight throw with a toss of 14.55 meters for third place in that event.
Emma Erickson (International Falls, Minn./Falls) finished sixth in 12.55 meters,
Hannah Baker (Aurora, Minn./Mesabi East) was ninth in 11.55 meters in 11.55 meters and
Kenzie Tuura (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) was 10th in 11.50 meters.
