SUPERIOR, Wis. --Â Top-ranked UW-River Falls finished a season-series sweep of the UW-Superior women's hockey team with a 12-1 victory at Wessman Arena on Saturday.

The Falcons (20-2-0, 10-0-0 WIAC) scored six goals in the first period, three times in the second and three more in the third for the victory.

Sophomore
Gaby Andreacchi (Thunder Bay, Ontario/St. Patrick) tallied the Yellowjackets' only goal unassisted at 16:09 of the first period to make it 6-1.

Megan Goodreau and Madison Lavergne each scored hat tricks to pace the UWRF offense. Maddie McCollins finished with four points on two goals and two assists. Lavergnealso added an assist for four-point night of her own.

Andreacchi led Superior with three shots on goal, while
Emma Booth (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) had two.

Molly Black (Devils Lake, N.D./Devils Lake) made 50 saves, including 18 each in the first and third periods.

Jordan O'Conor earned the win in goal for River Falls, making seven saves in the first two periods. Jordan O'Kane played the third period and stopped two shots.

The game marked the final regular-season home contest for senior
C.C. Hayes (Fort Frances, Ontario/Fort Frances), who was honored in Senior Day festivities.

The Yellowjackets (8-13-0, 1-7-0) hit the road next Friday to face UW-Stevens Point at 7 p.m.
