DULUTH, Minn. -- The UW-Superior women's track and field team set 16 personal records at the Lake Superior Challenge hosted by St. Scholastica on Saturday at Burns Wellness Commons.
Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) was fourth overall in the weight throw with a mark of 14.53 meters while
Alexxa DeQuevedo (Silver Bay, Minn./William Kelley) was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.73 seconds.
Brooke Petrich (Keewatin, Minn./Greenway) was fifth in the pole vault with a PR of 2.43 meters.
Halle Barker (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior), Megan Berg,
Cora Hudella (North Branch, Minn./North Branch Area) and
Tea Boerner (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna Senior) each posted personal records in the mile run with Barker sixth in 5:49.75, Berg eighth in 5:56.61, Hudella 11th in 6:05.64and Boerner 13th in 6:09.17. Boerner also was seventh in the 3,000 with a PR of 12:25.3.
Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) placed sixth in the high jump at 1.33 meters and seventh in the seventh in the shot put at 9.94 meters, both personal bests.
Hannah Baker (Aurora, Minn./Mesabi East) had a PR of her own in the shot put at 9.36 meters for 11th place.
Colleen Claude (Centuria, Wis./Homeschool) was fourth in the 400 in 1:03.33 and eighth in the long jump with the long jump mark being a personal record.
The Yellowjackets host the second-annual Maday Classic next Saturday at 11 a.m.
