Minn. – The UW-Superior women's soccer team hit the road for a Tuesday night match up with Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opponent Crown College. The 'Jackets controlled play from start to finish on the way to a 4-0 win.
With tonight's win at Old National Bank Stadium the Yellowjackets are now 7-5-0 overall and 5-1-0 in UMAC play.
Mya Holmquist (Buffalo, Minn./Buffalo) delivered a standout performance for the Yellowjackets, scoring two crucial goals, including the team's second and third, to help secure the victory.

Quinn Clark (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) got the start and is now 4-2. Clark faced two attempted shots and netted one save. Clark is credited with her fourth shutout of the season.

- The 'Jackets extended their win streak with the Polars to 18, dating back to Sept. 2005.
- Niya Wilson (Superior, Wis./Superior) opened the scoring for the Yellowjackets in the 12th minute. Ava Giswold (Proctor, Minn./Proctor) delivered a precise pass to Wilson in the box, who chipped the ball over Crown's goalkeeper into the upper right corner, just under the crossbar.
- Minutes after Wilson's opener, Holmquist found the back of the net off a rebound, doubling the Yellowjackets' lead to 2-0 within the first 15 minutes of the match.
- Ten minutes later, Holmquist netted her second goal of the match. After Wilson intercepted the ball from a defender, she set up Holmquist, who chipped it over the Crown goalkeeper into the top right corner, extending the Yellowjackets' lead.
- In the 72nd minute, Taylor DeCook (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) fired a shot off the crossbar, and Beth Schneider (Wausau, Wis./Wausau West) capitalized on the rebound, driving the ball past the Crown goalkeeper to extend the Yellowjackets' lead to 4-0.
The Yellowjackets, with a quick turnaround, are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 9 when they face Macalester on the road. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Macalester Stadium.
