MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) revealed its Kwik Trip athletes of the week in an announcement Tuesday, and freshman Ikki Kogawa (Chiba, Japan/Collingwood Collegiate Institute) was selected in men's hockey.

The Yellowjackets scored five goals this past weekend, and the freshman forward was involved in four of them. Versus St. Scholastica, Kogawa garnered two assists on both goals scored, which included the game-winner, as UWS defeated the Saints 2-1. Against Bethel he scored twice in roughly three minutes during the opening period, but the 'Jackets couldn't hold on, settling for a 1-1 split on the week.

UW-Superior opens WIAC play Friday, playing host to UW-Eau Claire. The opening faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
