SAINT PAUL, Minn. – On the heels of winning its seventh Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's cross country championship, the Yellowjackets saw nine runners achieve postseason awards, the conference released Monday.
 
After claiming the conference title Saturday, senior Aidan Doherty (Wild Rose, Wis./Wild Rose) was slated to the All-UMAC First Team alongside senior Zach Reese (Zimmerman, Minn./Spectrum) and sophomores Dylan Uitto (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) and Ben Plackner (Bovey, Minn./Greenway). Securing spots on the league's second team were freshmen Maverick Hoogland (Catawba, Wis./Phillips) and Jayde Canfield (Prescott, Wis./Prescott), along with senior Kieran Johnson (South Range, Wis./Northwestern) and sophomore Dominick Meisner (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer).
 
Furthermore, Yellowjacket head coach Glen Drexler was named the league's coach of the year.
 
Four Yellowjackets took up the top-five finishers in the championship race. Doherty led the entire conference with a race time of 26:09.5, while Reese took second at 26:14.4. Uitto and Plackner followed in fourth and fifth place with times of 26:55.6 and 27:02.3, respectively.
 
Hoogland, who claimed the league's rookie of the year award, finishing tenth overall with a race time of 27:45.6 before Canfield clocked a 27:59.5. Johnson and Meisner round out the postseason award recipients for UWS, ending championship day with race times of 28:12.8 and 28:27.2, respectively.
 
As a collective the Yellowjackets scored 22 points as a team, placing a 51-point cushion across the circuit.
 
The 'Jackets will now shift their focus for the NCAA Division III North Regional Championship race, which is hosted by Carleton College at the Tostrud Center. Race time is set for noon on Saturday, Nov. 16.
