Goaltender Anna Maulson (Lac du Flambeau, Wis./Lakeland Union) made the start in net for the Yellowjackets and took the loss bringing her record to 2-1-0. Maulson faced a total of 24 shots throughout the game.

Game Notes
  • Jenna Hoops (Woodbury, Minn./Visitation School) led the Yellowjackets with four shots on goal.
  • The Auggies capitalized on two power-play opportunities in the first period. The first goal came in the eighth minute when Grace Bonnell found the puck in a scramble in front of the net. Later in the period, Nora Stepan emerged from the corner and fired a shot on net, taking advantage of a screen in front of Maulson.
  • In the second period, Augsburg scored two more even-strength goals. Kate Haug controlled the puck and carried it to the front of the net, where she sent a pass toward Emily Schoeberl, who tipped it in to extend the Auggies' lead to 3-0.
  • Late in the second period, at the 17-minute mark, Emma Abrahamson added to Augsburg's lead, making it 4-0.
  • In the third period, Emily Cronkhite put the game out of reach for Augsburg, netting two goals. She struck first in the seventh minute, then followed up ten minutes later with another, firmly securing the victory for the Auggies.
  • Augsburg goaltender Kayla Simonson turned away 23 shots on net, earning both the win and the shutout for the day.
