LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT, the organization announced.
 
Additionally, UW-Superior received the Team Academic Honor Roll, which celebrates programs in the top 20% of grade point averages for each division.
 
The Yellowjackets achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.685, improving on their 2022-23 mark of 3.546.
 
More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) during the 2023-24 year.

The Yellowjackets ended the 2023 season with an overall record of 19-11 and a conference mark of 10-4. Entering the UMAC Tournament as the No. 3 seed, the Yellowjackets made it to the championship match before falling to the No.1 seed Northwestern.
