SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Yellowjacket men's soccer team needed just one win to secure the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference crown but standing in their way was Bethany Lutheran. Ultimately, a first five-minute flurry of offense guided the 'Jackets to the win and their eighth consecutive UMAC regular season crown.  

Match Notes:  

• Jake Kidd (Superior, Wis./Superior) got the party started early as he took a breakaway pass from Joel Thomas (Cardiff, Wales/Islwyn) and fired it past the Vikings keeper for the early 1-0 advantage.  

• Jacob Wyles (Watlington, Oxfordshire/FAB Academy) added the second goal two minutes later as he took a throw-in from Rowan Wagner (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) to find the net.  

• The Kidd and Thomas connection was back for the 'Jackets' third goal as Kidd fired his second of the match to connect on the Yellowjackets third goal in four minutes to open the match.  

• Seth Davidson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) tacked on a second half goal as he found a pass from Harvey McLoughlin (London, England/Highgate Woods) off a free kick to put the Vikings away.  

• Patrick Sessions (Brighton, England/Brighton, Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College) went all the way in net for UWS as he made three saves on the evening.  

• The Vikings outshot the Yellowjackets 16-11, but UWS held the advantage in shots on goal 7-3. Kidd, Davidson, and Wyles led the way for UW-Superior in shots each having two.  

Up next for the Yellowjackets (13-6,11-0 UMAC), they take on Martin Luther for Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 at SCCU Stadium.
