SUPERIOR, Wis. – Friday evening saw the Yellowjacket men's hockey team play their home-opener, as they took on St. Scholastica in the annual bridge battle. The momentum consistently shifted early in the contest until the Yellowjackets struck in the first period. From there the Saints tallied three unanswered goals, leading to a 3-1 victory inside Wessman Arena.

- Just two minutes later, however, the Saints garnered the equalizer, as Andrew Cumming sent a shot courtesy of feeds from Keenan Reyelts and Luke McCarthy.
- A pair of goals off the stick of Riley Girod gave St. Scholastica the upper hand, as the Yellowjackets couldn't counter for the rest of the game, falling 3-1.
