STEVENS POINT, Wis.- After collecting their first win of the 2025-26 campaign Friday, Superior traveled to Stevens Point to take on the Pointers in their second Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) game of the season. The Yellowjackets were able to keep it close before two late goals from Stevens Point led the Pointers to a 4-1 victory.

- The 'Jackets answered quickly as
Kendal Gustavsson (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) found the back of the net at 6:09. Both
Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston), and Brooke Monicken were credited with an assist.
- A quiet start to the second period saw the match tied 1-1 before Natalie Ahern added a second goal for the Pointers.
- The Pointers were able to add two more goals in the third period, including Ahern collecting her second of the game.

Maddie Wostrel (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) held a .923 save percentage making 36 saves for the Yellowjackets.

Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) won 18-of-26 faceoffs, while
Anna Scherling (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) won 11-of-21.
- Superior obtained the advantage in total shots led by
Veda Roeske (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) who had 13.
The Yellowjackets return home Tuesday, as they are set to take on St. Scholastica. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Wessman Arena.
